Women in Ancient Times

The evolution of women has grown over the year in so many ways. I believe that finally in the 21 century they are being treated the same as men and have equal rights. In the book The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight you are able to see how women were treated in the past centuries and how they judge for many different things, compared to, todays life weren't they won’t be judged the same.  In the book there is a female being called names for wearing shorts during a walk, someone from the town comes out the store and starts insulting the Louise due to the way she was dress. In the article Women’s right to choose what they wear:- The long & short of it… The author talks about todays view and the right women have to wear what they want. This article shows you how much the citizens in the society have changed the way they think and are open to many different things in women’s life.

In the ancient times the bigger the family you have the strong you are to survive. “Have as many children as possible!” (122) During this era many people would have as many children as possible in order to have a bigger tribe to be able to take over others territory and win the battle. In the bar graph of the Average Size of a Households in the Us 1960-2013 we are able to visually see how the number of people has decrease. This shows how in todays society family size is not as big as in the ancient times and how many of today's citizens cultures has change and how they don't prioritizes to have a big family.
